Laura Amelia Guzmán (Santo Domingo, 1980) graduated from Altos de Chavón | The School Of Design, where she studied fine arts and photography. After exhibiting in photography shows, she attended the International Film and Television School in Cuba, specializing in cinematography. After working in several features, she moves to Mexico. Since 2004, she has lived between Mexico and the Dominican Republic woking with her husband Israel Cárdenas, with whom she shares script, production and direction credits in their feature films. Together they run the production company Aurora Dominicana.
Israel Cárdenas (México, 1980) is a self-taught filmmaker who started out his career in musical videoclip productions and some film workshops at NYFA and EICTV. He worked as camera assistant and second unit camera in some projects before shooting in 2006 his fist feat as co-directo, script-writer, photographer, producer and editor. Besides his work as director, he has collaborated in various features as co-scriptwriter, director of photography and producer with her wife, Laura Amelia Guzmán. Together they run the production company Aurora Dominicana.
Pablo Chea is a Dominican multidisciplinary artist. Graduating from The Cooper Union in 2013, he compliments his critical and conceptual artistic practice with a focus on filmmaking. In 2016 he joined the Aurora Dominicana team where he has edited and supervised the post production in over 8 feature film theatrical releases. Well versed in narrative and documentary filmmaking and with 19 years of experience in audiovisuals, Pablo Chea bridges the gap between art and entertainment as a Pop Auteur.
